  • These three generations of lawyers get along like a house on fire. Meet Ramesh and Maulin Raval, and Namrata Trivedi.

Namrata -  Like for every daughter, father is her first love and superhero. And so it was for me. My father (Maulin Raval) and I are friends – I can even argue with him like there is no tomorrow. He has always given his 100 per cent in every aspect of life to make us what we are today. People may know me as a third generation lawyer, but not many know that I am pharmacist first, then a lawyer. Dad supported me when I decided to law. I had gone to the UK to pursue master, but came bake with an inclination towards pursuing patent law. My father used to tell us while we were growing up, ‘Play while you play, but work while you work’. That is the motto of my life now.Maulin : Now ,let me talk about my father (Ramesh Raval ) – the one person who ensured I took up law. After my class X boards, I wished to take up science. But before I could implement my plans, my father had ‘conspired’ with the school principal. So, he forcefully had me take up commerce stream and I would tell him it was the wrong filed. But today, looking bake, I realize the potential he would have seen in me then and that he made the right choice for me. Also, he could helped my career by handing over some of his cases. Instead, he made me start from the scratch. But I credit him for making me do that. When I began my practice at city civil court, he went to New York for further studies.Ramesh : When it came to work, my son Maulin was always my junior and I his senior. There was no further son education in the profession. I wanted to teach him that nothing in life comes easy. You have to work hard. Grab all the opportunities, and achieve everything that comes your way. No work is small work; you should be trained in such a manner that if you don’t have your clerk in the office, you should be able to do his work, too. That makes you independent and in change of yourself. And I am proud of him that he has made his own identity.-Namrata Trivedi is IPR Eternity Advocate, Maulin Raval is advocate in high court, Ramesh Raval is Licensed Legal Consultant Advocate and Supreme Court New York immigration lawyer. My father used to tell us while we were growing up,’ Play while you play, but work while you work’. That is my motto now – Namrata Trivedi.
